I can say, honestly, that natural hair is the love that found me. I began by locking my own and my friends’ hair, experimenting with different products styles and techniques, but i didnt think about doing hair professionally until another friend, who had completed hair school, suggested I do so.
I went natural for the 1st time in 1998, mostly because of curiousity. I later relaxed my hair and went natural once more for a final time in 2001. I’ve transitioned and done big chops, and prefer to just cut it all off.
I actually did the big chop because I didn’t want to do a long transition from relaxed to natural hair. I cut off my relaxed hair in Sept. 2008 and transitioned for about 5 months before doing the big chop. There were many reasons for going natural. I actually missed my kinks and curls. I […]
