On Sunday February 19, I had the opportunity to present my book Bad Hair Uprooted at Nicholas Brooklyn, a cozy Black owned store on Fulton street that sells natural health, wellness and artsy products, supporting many small businesses in the community.
Black Follicles Matter; a photo exhibition shooting for justice aiming to change perceptions one shot at the time
Going-Natural.com presents Black Follicles Matter, a unique collection of beautiful Natural Hairstyles that challenge the stereotypical ideas of Black Hair. The exhibition opens the first day of Black History Month on February 1st at 7 PM at the Temple of Illumination located at 138 St. James Place in Brooklyn, NY.
Next year I have another opportunity to do an exhibition and I am elated! This time, I am aiming to go even more in-depth picturing the long time elephant in the room: Hair Loss!
