Hair Story Rachel Brown
I started going natural many years ago, but returned to the perm, then finally officially became natural in 2008. I let the the perm grow out, did the big chop when i had atleast 2inches of natural hair (new growth).

I’m going to have to start with KALA today! Girl You look AMAZING! This is what i saw you were capable of right from week one! Your stunning features, everything about you is shining through in this shoot! Seriously, gorgeous! The styling is gorgeous, photography amazing, YOU incredible! And you have the perfect balance in your shots […]
Absolute toughest week for me. You ladies look so stunning! The head pieces look amazing, you all look so natural and genuinely happy! I really feel the Valentine vibe radiating through you!
Desyray: You embodied “free” really well and from that aspect your pictures were nice, but if i didn’t know this was to promote a haircare product, i would not have figured out that this was about hair…. Try to always bring it back to what it is you are trying to sell…

Chassity : as always you’re face is flawless. But this week, i didn’t get what you were going for? The blue top?? Were you wearing make up? When you are shooting a make up brand, you want to show a little more of it….
Jalita: in the shots where you have eye contact with the camera, you look a bit sad and in pain. There is no sparkle in your eyes. I would have liked to have seen more life in your eyes.
Well done again to all of you this week. Chassity, Nefertiti, Kala and Carlie really blew me away with their headwrap skills and nice photography!! Really great job Natasha and Jael’s shots were a bit uninspiring and flat. Work on some diversity for next week.
Munya: I like your photos this week, you look really natural and likable. Your make up looks great. Just one little tip: you like pushing your chin out or up and it look really unflattering, you look much better when you tilt your head down or just straight to camera. But this week is much […]
Timolin: Nice pictures. I have seen better of you. But still very good. I can’t quite pinpoint what it is that your shots are lacking this week. Nina: I only like your first picture. You look like you’re trying too hard to pose in all your other shots and it look unnatural and amateur. Less […]
Timolin: You are my favorite again this week. Don’t get bored of watching you. You look fresh, sexy, love the close ups! You are stunning! And i love u more each week! Munya: I feel like I see the same pictures of you each week. Time to step it up. Ebony: You […]
Ebony: It’s time to take it up a level! Your pictures are nice, but only just nice this week. Although you looked beautiful, it didn’t really pop. I much preferred your jewelry pictures. However in your make up ad shots, they are all very natural which is nice for every day life but in a […]
Munya: Your hair looks amazing this week. Your shots lacked variety for me, they all show a similar three quarter profile. In next week’s shoot, if you do a three quarter profile again, try doing it without tilting your head up or down. it will look more flattering, more “model-y” and less amateur. Ebony: I […]
Raven: You bring some edge to the competition! i like it. I like how you included a smiley picture too showing your versatility. Really well done! Ebony: You look beautiful in each of your pictures. Very commercial, very approachable. You really followed the guidelines and delivered beautiful shots. Timolin: I really enjoyed your pictures. The […]
Nina: my favorite picture is the one where you are holding a yellow jacket, because you look the most natural in that shot. My advice in posing for you would be not to try so hard (referring to picture in the grey dress) as you don’t need to do much to look naturally beautiful. You […]
