Absolute toughest week for me.
You ladies look so stunning!
The head pieces look amazing, you all look so natural and genuinely happy!
I really feel the Valentine vibe radiating through you!
Desyray: I love your hairstyle, you look beautiful. I did not like the make up so much but on the whole this is my favorite shoot of yours!
Chassity: OMG OMG OMG are these your wedding pics? You look stunning, straight out of a good bridal magazine! LOVE IT! I love how you ‘did’ pretty but i can still see that Valentine ‘sexy’ in your eyes! Beautiful!
Nefertiti, also one of my favorite shoots from you. You look very natural and beautiful!
Reshonda, stunning! You shot this really well, everything is clear, the hairstyle, the product, your happiness with both! Great job!
Kala: OMG OMG OMG! You look amazing! I love this shoot, you get better every week for me and have been taking the constructive criticism and i can see you applied it! I’m so proud of you!
Jalita: I’m sorry to say, this was my least favorite shoot this week. The terrible lighting was distracting, if was either to dark or over exposed and nobody looks amazing with bad lighting and compared to the other girl’s shoots this was not good enough.
My favorites for this week were Chassity and Kala!
FYI, in my style of judging, I rarely comment of the personal story or write ups because i don’t want it to sway me for or against the model since it is “America’s Next Natural Model” and not “America’s favorite person who I’d like to be best friends with”
I try to keep my comments relevant to the contest with advice that would help you in your journey of pursuing a modeling career. At times my comments may comes across a bit harsh or to the point (or so i have read in the comments to my feedback), but it is never meant to hurt anyone’s feelings.
And in my 12 years of international modeling experience I have learnt the importance of being thicker skinned, not as a woman but as a model, if you know what i mean. Deep down I am a very sensitive person but in the fashion business nobody wants to know that and nobody cares. The most important thing is that you deliver the shot which the success of a brand or product depends on! There are millions of girls out there who are beautiful but not models! Even I had to learn it, it is a skill because it is more than a pretty picture, it is creating a sale, it is the difference between the consumer going for the product you represent versus another…
Saying that, i am very happy with the progress you all have made and I hope you have enjoyed this journey and I wish you a wonderful career in the business!
