We discussed natural hair, locs and some of the high’s and lows that can come with both. To be honest, we could have talked for hours! Jade was engaging, thoughtful and quite encouraging. I hope you enjoy it! Read More “Natural Hair & Locs: An Interview With Model Jade Mapp”

An excellent testimony to the fact that curves are beautiful on a woman, Philomena Kwao is a 22 year old student who has always excelled academically. She, however, did not stop there. This young model is no fresher to the fashion industry, for she had already turned heads by bagging the title of Miss Ghana UK in the year 2008.
I AM Top Model
For this Challenge, I had to come at it with the mindset that I was already a Top Model! I was given a job to model both a beautiful beaded necklace and a fresh flower hat. As the model, the first thing I ask myself was “How could I show these accessories to the consumer and represent the company’s product well?”. I also had to look at it from the buyer’s view point and ask myself “What would make me look at these items and want to buy and wear them?” I know that when I look in magazines and at models, I am looking at everything from the hair, make up and clothing.
