On Sunday January 14th, author of Going Natural, How to Fall in Love with Nappy hair, talks about the ins and outs of a natural hair journey.
Mireille Liong-A-Kong who went through the trials and tribulations herself, when she was living in Europe where natural hair care salons are non-existent, bundled her experience in a 112 page guide. The book offers alternatives to go natural, helps one understand the different stages one goes through during the journey, includes styling options and much more.
In this lecture Liong touches upon the history of black hair in the Western world and deals with the nappy notions that still live in todays society before she gets to the journey of going natural. With an amazing slide show that illustrates the beauty of natural hair as well as the infinite possibilities of natural hairstyling, she inspires even the nappy-anxious, to fall in love with nappy hair.
