• cheese clothPeel the brown outside layer of the yucca root to expose the white portion. Lay the peeled yucca root on a clean towel and use a hammer to break it into small chunks. Put a handful of yucca pieces in a cheesecloth bag and swish it around in the warm water. Squeeze the sudsy water from the bag onto your hair and shampoo. The yucca shampoo will improve elasticity, and strengthen and revitalize brittle hair.
