Dreadlock styles from Patrick Marcelino from casual to hot

Dreadlock styles from Patrick Marcelino

A look at the Dreadlocks styles from Model/Actor Patrick Marcelino. His shoulder length hair is as versatile as the styles he rocks!

Looks can be deceiving. As causal as this rising model or his dreadlocks often look, there is nothing casual about him or his hair. From New York fashion week to shooting and filming in the swamps of Jamaica, his locs are very well taken care of. Part of it is indeed that “he was born with it” but one look at his stature will tell you that this man takes care of his body and health as well.

In Bedstuy to do the catwalk of Brooklyn Fashion week, I had a chance to meet with and shoot this Model who is pretty famous in the Netherlands. As one of the few if not the only model with Dreadlocks who does high fashion shoots, in that rather small country in Europe, he caught the eye of a few fashion designers who signed him up for New York Fashion week.

If he is not doing photo shoots, Patrick works on his own clothing line Abioye, a brand stands for bringing out the god or godess in you. A graphic designer by trade, the name, logo and theme of his brand are designed by the man himself. Putting his money where his mouth is you can often spot him in one of his own shirts.

Of course, I also wanted to know how he took care of his beautiful locs. When he is on the road different stylists get to do his hair but he knows how to take care of the basics. So I gave Patrick the Going Natural Herbal shampoo to try. After I did, he read the ingredients then tried it out. I am happy to say that the Model/Actor also known as Ras Camarao really loved the shampoo. When I asked why his answer was; because my hair doesn’t feel as dry and it doesn’t leave stuff in your hair like other shampoos do.
