MAKE HIM FALL FOR YOUR NATURAL TRESSES!

In a perfect world, ladies who chose to wear their natural tresses would rule the earth. Men and women everywhere would stare in admiration at your luscious locs or plump twists. When you walked into a room,
people would crowd around, asking for tips on how to make their fro look so fly too. Most importantly, your significant other would love it; every new style, twist, or coil would garner automatic adoration from your sweetie.But let’s face it, we live in the real world, where not everyone is going to love your napptural-ness like you do, your husband or boyfriend included. Lots of women have clashed with their significant others as to perm or not to perm, some men still preferring hair that grows down instead of up. There are however, a few ways you can turn his “why don’t you straighten your hair?” statements into “I’m so glad you don’t straighten your hair!” comments of appreciation. Here are just a few:

1.Take Care of It
It’s no secret that healthy hair is beautiful hair. And men love beautiful hair. So making sure that you keep up with quarterly trims, always keep it moisturized, and have overall good hair maintenance habits is a great way to let its true beauty shine through.
2. Let Him Play In It
The next time he complains that he can’t ‘run his hands through your hair anymore’, take his hand and place it on your cloud. Let him caress it, feel the soft kinks and coils mingle with his fingers. When you show him that he can still play with (and have even more fun!) with your natural hair texture, he won’t be able to keep his hands out of it.
3. Keep It Smelling Good
Have you ever been standing somewhere and someone walked past you, leaving a heavenly scent wafting in their trail? Odds are it probably invoked positive thoughts or at least caused an “mmmm.” sound to escape your lips. It’s the same thing with your honey and your hair. If every thought of your hair reminds him of rosemary vanilla, he won’t be able to keep his nose, face, and hands away.

Getting your boo involved in the fun of maintaining and styling aspects of your hair will not only give him an active role in how your hair looks, but will also show him how incredibly low-maintenance natural hair can be. Let him wash it with your new, yummy-smelling shampoo. When you get out of the shower let him rub the shea butter into your spongy tresses. Next time it’s time for a trim or a growth check, let him measure it and compare it to the last results you had. It will get him involved and give you a break from doing all the work yourself every now and then!
5. Be In Love With It Yourself
If you ask most men, the one thing that will always attract them to a woman is her confidence. A woman who knows she is fly just as she is and is comfortable in her own skin and hair will always turn heads. Get to know your hair. Know what works for your texture and what doesn’t. Learn what makes it curly, kinky, springy, and pillowy, and most importantly, have fun with it! So ladies, rock your natural fro, locs, twists, braids with confidence!
