I approached this challenge with more than just the obligation of completion, but also the challenge of pulling this look off on my own. I challenged myself to emulate this look through my own skill. The goal that I wanted to accomplish was coming one step closer to mastering the smokey eye.
I achieved my look by using Iman’s St Tropez Palette. From the corners of my eyes to about the middle of my cornea I used Eyeshadow #1 which is the gold shadow.
I then filled in the rest of my eyelid with Eyeshadow #3 leaving the area just below my eyebrow open to fill with Eyeshadow #2. I then used my blending brush to blend the colors at the points where they meet. By applying my eyeshadow first, I avoid tainting my foundation inwhich I choose to apply after my eyeshadow is applied. I then use Iman’s Perfect Eye Pencil in Jet Black which I might add is PERFECT INDEED!!! I have yet to use an eyepencil so rich and so dark. I lined the line along my lashes both top and bottom. It gives my eyes a very nice shape that I love. Then Iman’s Perfect Mascara makes for quite the Grand Finale to my look. I applied the mascara to the lashes on one eye and then the other. I like to go back and add a second coat. I find that it tends to both lengthen and thicken my own natural eyelashes. Overall I loved using Iman’s Cosmetics! They are of true quality and I just loved all of the attention that I got when I left the shoot and tended to everyday life. I received lots of attention and turned many heads!!
