Last week the Black Bloggers community lost two wonderful souls who each left a remarkable imprint behind. Even though I didn’t know Karyn Washington or Domineque Banks it really doesn’t matter because when you see an out-pour like that on social media, you know that a person touched lives.

Since I have a friend who has Lupus it was really sad to read that Dominique died of this illness but like everyone else I was shocked to read that Karyn’s death was suicide. I didn’t know the details and certainly didn’t read all the comments but I am glad to have been enlightened by her close friend Yumnah Najah.

She took the time to create a video to not only express her personal grief but also to offer some clarity on the life and legacy of Karyn. I don’t think I need to say more.
