curly sue.
It’s funny. When you’re not familiar with Black hair, you often think there’s not much one can do with it. Truth be told, Black hair might be the MOST versatile hair type. Because of its natural texture and ability to “hold” there are no rules or limitations. Is it therefore any wonder that Black hairdos and their corresponding techniques are frequently adopted by other cultures?
Here we have locs in an upswept, cascading curl creation. Perfect for a dressy event or that super hot date, this style will make everyone say, “WOW!”
Instead of simply pulling the hair back in a side ponytail, begin by two strand twisting your locs. Do this around the entire head, THEN pull the hair back and to the side. Spritz the free locs lightly with water. Using a moisturizing mousse, set your locs with rod curlers. You can either sit under the dryer, or allow the hair to air dry. Once dry, remove the curlers, and use your fingers to separate your loced curls. Finally bring the ponytail towards the face, creating a dazzling effect.
