I will be honest by saying that I was skeptical at first of Jamaican Mango and Lime™ Transition Natural Detangling Spray, because I have dreadlocks and I was afraid that it would make my hair fuzzier or totally detangled at the root. But I was so intrigued by the amazing organic composition of this spray (lemongrass, hazel nut oil, ginger root extract, etc) that I decided to give it a try. After all it was part of the challenge ☺ I am very glad I did and overcame my initial fear because this spray should really be called magic spray ☺ It is definitely not your typical spray because whether you’re transitioning from relaxer to natural hair or you already have natural hair, this spray provides the much needed moisture and softness that such type of hair needs. Believe it or not, I absolutely fell in love with it and I enjoy using it after a morning shower to start the day in good kinky spirits 🙂 It conditions the hair thoroughly and because it is a spray, it actually moisturizes both your scalp and hair instantly. Did I say magical? ☺ My picture clearly shows my excitement and genuine joy of having a product that enhances the natural beauty of my hair.
There’s nothing wrong with feeling like royalty. Why not, you deserve it. The entire line of Jamaican Mango and Lime is priceless. I just love it!
This is my downtown Chicago shot, my goal was to introduce the product to Chicago. The hair is styled by me.
The use of the Jamaican Mango Lime line is not only wonderful because of all of its great ingredients and help with producing flawless styles, it also promotes the growth of healthier hair, more specifically for both trasitioners and naturals the same.
I am wearing a beautiful head wrap (dark blue with a bit of mauve and beige). It is a head wrap long enough to cover all your hair if you want to. You can also let your hair loose on the back or on the side as well. It is extensible and very easy to use. Different hairstyles can be done with this head wrap which can also be used as a scarf. I personally love it and strongly recommend it 🙂
The Roller Braid smells like pepppermint, which is great for the scalp. It feels so good on your scalp, it would actually relax me.
This hair accessory is perfect for braids, twist, locks or loose natural hair. It gives you a since of style. for a style that may seem simple, adding this to it will give it some pazazz.
One of the reasons I adore this Cowrie Hair Band, is its versatility. Here I have opted for a more sophisticated and glamorous look. Though the band is intricate, it does not detract from my hairstyle. On the contrary, it is the perfect highlight to any look in the summer, winter, spring or fall!
While participating in ANNM, I have been confronted with many thoughts about beauty and how we see ourselves. In this weeks challenge specifically, I have learned the importance of styling and posing to make your best side shine through. I have found that when I glow on the inside my outward beauty completely radiates! I encourage all of my natural family out and about to love the beauty that is found without as well as within, the beauty that is found in God’s grace and love: the beauty in simple peace, in smiling at a person when they may be down. This beauty will make you look even better on the outside than you already do. Enjoy and God Bless you all.
Hair accessories can make a huge difference when it comes to having braids, twists, or cornrows. Decorative hairpins are at the top of my list when it comes to adorning my braids. These flower pins are functional and they add the right amount of sparkle.
My dream gig would be to be the “face/presence” of a brand that caters to women that are neither model height, nor build. I represent the women that are shorter with fuller figures, but not necessarily plus size.
My dream gig is to be a successful print model/artist/graphic designer, and a little acting would be great too. I would love to model for Ralph Lauren, Dolce & Gabbana, True Religion, Gap and many more well-known clothing companies. My intent is to be the best short, petite, natural hair print model there is!
