Greetings Naturalistas,
I hope you’re well and pressing on into the new year! As spring approaches and the contest for America’s Next Natural Model is well under way I thought that the topic of ” Being Bold” was necessary! As I have reviewed the pics thus far my tip for all is to “Shine Bright Like A Diamond” and don’t be afraid of color.
The beautiful hues our various skin tones are composed of are magnificent all by themselves so don’t get me wrong, but as a lover of anything that accentuates the natural beauty of ethnic skin, I am all for makeup color that POPS! Our skin tones naturally absorb colors and the deeper the skins complexion, the greater its ability to soak up color! One trick I use is to use a primer before applying eyeshadow as a base. All aspects of your face are your canvas so prime it and watch the colors bounce back brilliantly!
Lastly, a picture is worth a thousand words so make sure you are presenting a picture that evokes what you want the viewers to gain from it. Are you leaving out for the day, mascara, powder, blush and some gloss make all the difference in the world but in a competition, wedding pictures or a photo shoot, those few items look like little to none, so don’t be afraid to be bold and remember…
“It’s more than just lipstick”
