A Day To Love

For this Challenge, we were told to talk about a Romantic Style for Valentines and Natural Brides. Valentine’s Day to me means showing the people or that special person in your life that you love and appreciate them! I feel this should be done every day, but Valentine’s Day is just that one day out of the year to pay extra special recognition to the ones you love and to show a little love to yourself! When i hear the word “Valentine”, I think of my husband and I think of my kids!

Kinky Curly Bliss

I think of more than just candy, cards, stuffed animals and flowers. I think of spending time with my husband doing something Romantic like going out on a “Date Night”! I also think of myself and how I can make myself look extra special too.

I want to feel like the only woman in the room and i think every woman deserves to feel the same!! Most important to me are the accessories because they tie the whole look together. Because hair is important to women, I want a style that will make me feel good and will hold up through a night out on the town! Something simple yet classic and elegant. For my hair, I chose a style that showcased my natural texture, but enhanced it’s spirals with a rod set! This created a cascade of springy and bouncy curls.

When or if you decide to take it down later, you can rock the curls so it becomes two styles in one! I chose braided sides because I love the look and it gives the style a little edge. The back was twisted in the direction of creating a french roll or you could simply pin it up with a few bobby pins. To add some sparkle and life to my curly do, I chose one of the many BEAUTIFUL Headpieces by Beauloni !! When i wear this wrap Headpiece, I feel like a Princess! The details are eye catching and I love the sparkle of the rhinestones which create a brilliant rainbow effect with every turn of my head. The precious metal branches make it even more lovely and can be easily molded to fit your own individuality.

I even wore mine as a choker to give myself a different look ( versatility and creativity!). The Cowrie shells add a wonderful Afrocentric look and feel that makes me feel regal and truly one of a kind! These Headpieces are excellent for the Natural Bride who wants to feel extra beautiful on her wedding day! Sometimes it seems like our options are so limited, but they aren’t with Beauloni’s wide variety.

There is really something for everyone! When it comes to natural hair styles, our hair is a masterpiece on it’s own! The versatility is endless and I wanted to show that you can wear your natural in more ways than just puffs, twists and twist outs. Updos are very elegant and can be dressed up or down! I think it is the perfect style and Beauloni has the perfect Headpiece for the Bride that wants to go from wedding bliss to honeymoon chic!
