Join me on my loc take-down journey. Sad as I was to see my bradelocz go, I knew it was time. Still the task of unravelling was both frightening and exciting. I started off by soaking by locs in deep conditioners and oils and rinsing lightly. This Method proved unsatisfactory (although it helped soften the locs)bc it was rather uncomfortable. Now I soak one loc in a cup of diluted conditioner, for a second or 2, cut about 1-2in off the end, rub in my conditioner mix, then unpick with my cable stitch needle or big paper clip( which is shaped like a napplocs tool). I am using a mix of aloe vera, knotty boy’s dreadlock damage control deep conditioner, sunsilk silky and straight conditioner, wonder oil and water. It takes me about 15 min to undo 1 loc although at the start it took 2 hrs to undo one! I nearly gave up then.
