Iman is timeless, so it wasn’t difficult to draw my inspiration from her. I approached the challenge by channelling the aura Iman exudes in the photo. Starting on well moisturized skin, I applied the Luxury Radiance Liquid Makeup in Earth 1.
I knew the gold shimmer in the foundation would complement the sun rays on my skin. Next, I applied the Perfect Eye Pencil in Jet Black to my top and lower lid to create the base for the smokey eye look. Then I applied Eyeshadow #4 from the St. Tropez kit on my upper lid to blend into the eyeliner.
To create the cheetah eye look I smudged the outer corner of my eyes . Next I used Eyeshadow #2 to highlight the inner corners of my eyes and create the illuminesent gold look from the Iman photo. I used Eyeshadow #1 to highlight my brow bone and Eyeshadow #3 to fill in my eyebrows.To finish up my eyes I added two coats of the Perfect Mascara in Black. To accentuate my check bones I used the blush and set the liquid makeup with the bronzer. To complete the look I applied Lipstick #2 to moisturized lips and a heavy coat of Lipgloss #1. The Perfect Eye Pencil was my favorite beauty tool! It made creating the smokey eye effortless. For my hair I decided to do a flexi rod set. I love BIG hair and thought this wet set would prove that natural hair can be big AND chic.

Browsing through the Iman Cosmestics website, I found that a lot of the products complimented my brown skin tone especially the Spring 2011 Boho Chic line. In a world where whitening and lightening creams are sold in excessive quantities, it’s refreshing to see products that help us embrace our variety of hues.
