This website and all my projects here are done with one goal in mind: 

To change the perception of Natural Hair 

Once we change our stereotypical perception of African hair, we will value its beauty and won’t feel the need to manipulate our tresses beyond damage.

So changing the perception of natural hair will hopefully drastically reduce the hair & scalp issues for Black women in the Diaspora.

Besides my book  Going Natural How to Fall in Love with Nappy Hair and this website going-natural.com I also started  the Pursuit of Nappiness  to literally paint a different picture of natural hair and America’s Next Natural Model to promote the beauty of Natural Hair.
