ALICIA W JOYNER Transitioning Thoughts Natural Hair Story, transitioning, patience, dear, From Relaxed to Natural, Going natural 0
It’s been 7 months since the last laxer. I’ve been doing braids. Friends and passers by luv it. (Never got such comments or attention on my hair when it was straight!) I took the braids out for a few weeks ’cause I was anxious to play with my new TEXTURE. It was quite the learning experience. Must say I wouldn’t have made it this far without my newfound product love, Hummingbird Hair. No more silicones or petroleum/mineral oil. I use the Aqua Daily Moisture Mist as my leave in conditioner/braid spray. Use it on the kiddies’ hair too. The Coconut Cream Styling Lotion makes my straw texture soft and supple. Yay. I have about 3 1/2 inches of newly natural hair now and 8-16 in of relaxed ends. The braids keep me from giving in to crazy, nonsensical, drastic hair decisions. Patience my dear…patience.
