When a national magazine asked Jayme to write about America’s Next Natural Model, to explain the competition and share her experience as a candidate but moreover as the winner, she wrote this.
America’s Next Natural Model is an online modeling competition hosted by the website “going-natural.com.” This competition takes place over eight-weeks and models have to participate in a new challenge each week which involves a different photoshoot and theme. ANNM aims to promote the beauty of aspiring natural models while also helping to educate women on their natural hair. Participating in the America’s Next Natural Model competition was one of the best decisions I have ever made. It was a very challenging eight-weeks, but over the course of the competition I learned more about myself and my hair than I ever knew before. I also was able to try a variety of products and hairstyles that I had never used before. My prize for winning the competition was $1000 and a trip to New York where I was lucky enough to do a shoot for Sula NYC, Gruvi Juice, and Going-Natural.com. I encourage every natural and aspiring model to apply for America’s Next Natural Model 2013, you won’t regret it!
