Headwraps are not just a way to get out of doing your hair in the morning… they are a symbol of pride and beauty! Everytime I see a woman with an elegant headwrap cross my path I juat can’t help but stare! I’ve done my own around the house, and I’ve worn them to class once or twice, but I am by no means an expert on headwraps! Nevertheless here is my tutorial on how to create a simple and chic headwrap using two scarves:
First I began by putting my hair into a low ponytail. Then using one yard of fabric I covered my ponytail placing the straight edge parallel to my hairline. Grabbing the two front corners (closest to my ears) I pulled them behind my ears and below my ponytail. Next I grabbed the rest of the fabric and brought it to meet under my ponytail as well. I twisted the length of the fabric all the way to the ends then wrapped it around the now fabric-covered ponytail, creating a pseudo-bun.
Next I took the long scarf and tucked one end of it under the “bun.” I wrapped it around my head three times strategically spacing them out. Here is the final result: Quick and Easy!
