One Big Braid in Peach – Unique

When time is of the essence, braid your locs.  This is a fun, easy and time-saving style that can really look nice, if done right.  For those with longer locs, try One Big Braid or a fishtail on the side.  It is simple, stylish and ultra sleek.  When heading out on a date, try this style with sparkling earrings and a peach (or any other color that you prefer), v-neck shirt with an open back.  If you choose to braid your locs straight down your back, they will drape down your bare back with a lovely, fiery flare.

The Fun Bun in Black – Fabulous

Buns keep hair off of the face and create a high-fashion, sleek look in mere minutes.  For loc’ers with long hair, try a high bun when you want to dress up a dressed down outfit or to accentuate your profile, especially for those loc’ers with an oval-shaped face.  Face shape is very important as to how well you will be able to carry any number of looks.  The Fun Bun is big, beautiful and bold.  Wear your favorite little black dress while working it out with The Fun Bun.  You will not regret testing this look out at conventions, coronations or cotillions.

 Banana Curls – Versatile

Clean, neat locs are versatile and forgiving.  When choosing a suitable style for your next big shindig, try Long Spiral Shirley Temple Curls (or what I like to call Banana Curls).  Banana Curls are bouncy and fun and can last from one to three weeks, depending on how long you allow the locs to set under the dryer after rolling loc’ed sections around soft, foam hair rollers.  This look also serves as a nice break from simple wearing your locs straight without crinkle or curl.  This look is very feminine, light and bouncy.  A suggestion would be to throw on your favorite bright colored party dress and matching earrings to attain a similar look before hitting up your neighborhood juice bar or Neo-Soul Lounge.
