What do you like about modeling and are there any aspects that you don’t like about it?
What I like about modeling is that you can be creative, and very artistic. It’s like writing a story and you are the author trying to capture the audience attention. Taking photos, changing clothes, and traveling and maintain a stable income are the perks to modeling.
What make you special as a model? What are your strongest features, and what do you bring that others can’t?
What makes me special as a model is that my features stand out. I can be anywhere and all eyes will follow me.My eyes are the strongest; I have big beautiful eyes that are bright. Along with them I have long eyelashes that may seem like I have eyeliner but I am nature no make-up. My hair is another strong feature I have natural curly hair and to the fact that I have dreds make me stand out even more. Also my smile is a strong feature. I have straight teeth that can lighten up the room I get compliments how I resemble the king of pop Michael Jackson. I am charming and intelligent and very polite and I hold a combination that others try to obtain but I only have. I have heart, and that’s what others think they have but when all things fall apart they soon become quitters.
Why do you choose to wear your hair the way you do?
I choose to wear my hair this way, because my hair style has been here since the beginning of time. It’s very afro centric and I love to embrace it. It is very appropriate and professional.
What does your hair mean to you? Is it just an accessory that compliments your personality and style or is it deeper than that? Would you ever shave your hair or perm it for a gig? Please elaborate.
My hair means that I am a warrior, as it is written in the bible or other ancient history books about my people. Only my race can wear it well and it is made for only us. It compliments me very well but I am not my hair. I can wear a short hair cut and still have it compliment my style.
How important is a woman’s hair to you? Does a weave, relaxed hair or a natural head bother you or do you have a preference for either of these styles?
Well since my mother and sisters are natural I think women especially black women should embrace their hair and stay natural. As society may target black women hair as a negative, and make them feel like something they’re not. No need to follow hair styles like the Europeans. Black women hair is very strong, unique, and I love it.
Have you ever been stereotyped?
No I haven’t I carry myself in an orderly fashion so stereotypes do not come my way.
Do you think black hair is an issue? Why or why not?
No black hair was here before any other race. We are the creators. We set the trends and others follow, I think if we stop trying to follow others black hair wouldn’t be so controversial like it is now.
What is your goal as a model?
My goal is to be successful but, to give back to my people. Staying positive and to give back a skill or words of wisdom is very important to me. I hope to be big enough to set examples and have others to be inspired by me to want to follow me. I want to be an example to the black men on what and what not to be. I feel we have been stereotyped for so long and now it is time for a change.
Last words?
I am very proud and honored to be featured. I would represent you and the whole black community well.
