As an African-American female the decision to wear my hair natural was a challenge, especially in Ohio because it is considered a conservative state wherein conforming to how a person should look is more accepting, for example, wearing relaxed hair or weave to land that corporate job.
Tosha’s Hair Story
Hair color: My original hair color is brown; however I do have color I think it is a cinnamon brown.. not sure.. even my stylist couldn’t tell me.
Eye color: Light Brown
Length: With it being natural it’s hard to tell sometimes, but when it’s wet, or I pull it it touches my shoulders.
Hair Type: C..when wet it is very wavy the more it dry it get coily
I believe I have what it takes to be the next Miss NP 2011 because I have a great attitude and an open mind.

I would like to help the women in our culture learn how beautiful their natural hair is underneath the chemicals and the myths associated with black hair being bad and black hair will not grow. I have been natural for 16 months and can not imagine my hair any other way. I am very eager to learn and experiment with the different hair styles I can achieve so I am up for the challenge and ready to have some fun and become the next Miss NP 2011!!!
