My name is Mireille Liong. I am a Social Entrepreneur with a Master Degree in Information Technology who uses her expertise to improve the health of Black women’s hair and scalp all over the world.

I started Going-Natural.com with the goal to change the perception of Natural Hair so that Black women who wanted to go natural would feel comfortable to make that choice.

The fact that 73% of African American women suffer from hair break and scalp issues due to the use of relaxers, both deeply bothered and inspired me. I thought it was an outrage that no one was even talking about these issues, let alone doing something about it.

So, to paint a different picture of African hair, I self published Going Natural How to Fall in Love with Nappy Hair, designed this website going-natural.com then started the Pursuit of Nappiness, America’s Next Natural Model and the Going Natural Video Diaries. 

All of these projects are promoting the beauty of natural African hair in order to change the perception of our long stigmatized tresses. My ultimate goal is healthier hair for all women with follicles rooted in the Diaspora.
