If you have thin hair to begin with, then you cannot expect your locs to look as full as a thick-haired sister. They will have a thinner appearance. But thinness does not equate to damage.

I have very thin fragile hair, which I had cut on bob so the sides are a shorter. My hair has grown a bit. Is this ideal for sisterlocks? And I’m going gray from the front and sides till the middle of my head. How will I look with gra7 hair while some is black noting the sides and back are shorter than the middle?

Thin, fragile hair is not ideal for locs. I’ve done locks for women with this type of hair and it doesn’t give the look of fullness desired. I would say just wear your hair in a natural style w/some curl gel and concentrate on having a healthy scalp and head of hair. Bantu knots and possibly Nubian twists would look good and not stress your hair.

I have bald spots on the temple with just enough hair to cover them. Do you know anyone in the San Francisco Bay Area who does micro sister loc extensions. Without extension I will need to wear a headband all the time to cover baldness.
