What was the worst part of your journey? And the best part?
The hardest part of my journey was trying to find the right part products to use on my hair. The best part of my journey was watching my hair grow healthier and naturally.
What did your hair journey teach you?
My hair journey taught me how to be a strong woman and endurance. my hair journey also taught me how to love myself for who I am.
Describe your worst hairdo and your best hairdo.
don’t think I have had a worse hairdo so far. My best hairdo would have to be my very very teeny weeny afro because I was beginning my journey, and I felt so free 🙂
Looking Back, has your perception of your hair or black hair in general changed? Please elaborate.
Yes my perception on black hair has changed a lot. Before I went natural, I didn’t know the beauty or the elegance behind natural hair. I always thought that black hair had to be relaxed, and if it wasn’t relaxed, it wasn’t pretty enough. Now I see natural black hair as a symbol of Freedom, beauty, elegance, and Health!
What is your favorite hairstyle?
My favorite hairstyle is a Twistout and a Blowout
