Alicia Transitioning Thoughts hair, Going natural, Natural Hair Story, transitioning, From Relaxed to Natural 0
This is my first blog. I’ve just decided to go natural a month agao, and I’m currently exploring different ways to transition. I tried weave as a first option, first time I had never had it before. My plan was to keep it in for 3 months and have my hair grow out without me having to deal with it, and then I’d keep repeating it. But I didn’t last but a week! My head was itching SO BAD, and I found out after the fact, that the hair was fake Remy, I was upset about that. (That’s another story blog) So anyway, I took the hair out, and my front hair line is still sore and itching, and my scalp is dry around the hairline. I dont have dry scalp issues at all so I am not happy about that. I spent over 300 dollars for that little experiment. Needless to say I don’t think I’ll be trying that again its way to expensive to be taking out in one week.
I purchased a couple of wigs and some all natural shampoo and conditoners, along with Carol’s daughter products. So far they are not producing the results I thought it would. It’s only been one day. But usually you can tell if a product is going t be good after the first application. During this time it is important for me to have soft tangle free hair and none of these very expensive products have done that. Right now I’m sitting up with Black Vanilla leave in conditioner, Hair milk, and Lisa’s hair elixer in my hair and it is still not soft!? I’ve gotten better results with non natural products. My hair feels dry and hard to manage. Prior to this I washed it with Carol’s daughter Rosemary mint shampoo? My hair was so tangled that it wasn’t funny. I spent too much money on these products, and now I’m wondering if it’s just that these products can not be used on relaxed ends. Or if it’s just not a good product period? I hate I spent all of this money. Trying to avoid sulfates and chemcials so my hair wouldn’t be dry, and it still is? I think i would’ve done better with my sulfate products??? Anyway, I’m going to wash this out tomorow and try cream of nature, and some of the other leave in conditioners that I know for a fact work. I’ve been waiting on the Beauty4ashes website to come back up so I can try theirs I’ve heard nothing but good things about them, unlike Carol’s daughter. (Thank God for refund policies) I will probably be taking some of these items back. Especially the leave in conditioner.
