The Miss Nappturality, America’s Next Natural Model Contest is based loosely around Ngozi Design Groups business model, “transforming expectations and blending ideas”; being that we are transforming people’s expectations of what being natural is, and blending our ideals together to convey an important message. This message is that natural beauty is beautiful, colorful, and classic. That you should accept the real you and blend your ideas of what makes women attractive and make it a reality. Gone are the days of conforming to mainstream, and going along with the masses. Now, we women of color are taking our personal styles and blending them with mainstreams current offerings and making it our own. We are standing tall with kinky, wavy, curly, loc’d hair making this “fashion thing” work, for us. We are doing this with timeless, key pieces like that of Ngozi Jewelry Collection. Their jewelry is montage of beautiful colorful pieces full of culture that one may not expect to see but will coordinate perfectly with today’s trends.
