What is your dream gig?
My dream gig is one that will represent my family, community and self in a positive way and make a difference in another’s life. It will lead to even more opportunities and avenues of advancement, whether it be acting or being the face of a brand. I don’t believe in dreaming for one goal, I believe in things being continuous and growing. Personally my dream gig is one that I can look back on as an old lady and be proud.
Why do you think you are right for the job?
I’m versatile, optimistic, easy to work with and bring many ideas to the table. I’m always promoting natural hair to anyone who talks about it because its something I believe in.
What makes you special compared to the other models & why should they hire you?
I believe that all of the models are beautiful, smart and talented young women. Though I don’t know them, I do know myself. As someone who is always eager to learn and experience the world, I have a goal to be multi-lingual and can speak Spanish and Japanese. This would be very beneficial for promoting a brand internationally.
What do you want people to know about you?
I recently lost a lot of weight and though I’m not as tiny as others in the modeling business, I’m happy about my size. I’d been heavy most of my life. I never imagined I’d be where I am today because I thought it would be impossible. But I learned that something is impossible if you view it that way.
Which one of the pictures is your best shot and why?
I believe my best shot is my album cover shot because it shows me in the most natural way; its commercial, fresh faced and free. Also I can really see the resemblance to my mother in the shot and she’s my role model.
Embracing the versatility of natural hair shows true confidence. I enjoy rocking this simple, funky, sexy style.

Natural hair is even lovelier when accented with accessories. I think wearing flowers in your hair expresses femininity and appreciation for nature.
Who says natural hair can’t be worn in the workplace? Show your co-workers, boss or employees that natural hair is not only beautiful but professional as well.
