I, for one, like the idea of having hair to change it up from time-to-time because with a haircut you can only do so much.
Occupation: Singer/Songwriter /Actor
Who is your Favorite model?
Well, I have to say Tyra & Tyson; Tyra because she has taken her moment and turned it into a legacy and Tyson because he set the standard.
What is your favorite book?
“Lord of the Flies” by William Golding
What is your favorite movie?
There are TONS of movies that I love but since I first saw “Little Shop of Horrors” when I was little for the first time, I had been addicted. Well that and the “Wizard of Oz”..lol
Why did you become a model and what is your goal as a model?
For me, I don’t really consider myself as a “full-fledged” model. I am a singer who needed updated pics and fell in love with doing photo shoots all the time.
How important is your hair as a model? Why do you choose to wear your hair this way?
I, for one, like the idea of having hair to change it up from time-to-time because with a haircut you can only do so much. And really, people have always complimented my hair whether it was cut low so they could rub the top or wild and crazy so they could pat it or rub their hands through it. I’m just one of those people who likes to have hair on my head.
What does your hair mean to you? Is it just an accessory that compliments your personality and style or is it deeper than that?
I think that in any community hair does play somewhat of a role, but my hair adds another special factor to my personality. And I like it when people see me with hair. I always try to make sure that it is well-kept. When people interact with me, they definitely realize that I am well put together regardless of how my head looks.
How important is a woman’s hair to you?
A woman’s hair is somewhat important to me because it adds to their features especially if it is well-kept, but it’s not the determining factor of whether or not I want to have a relationship with her.
Does a weave, relaxed hair or a natural head bother you or do you have a preference for either of these styles?
Well, my mom is one to change her hair on a daily basis whether it’s her real hair, weave, wig, or whatever. I have seen her do that my entire life and she looks great with either, so neither bothers me as along as it looks nice. I have never gotten a perm or jerry curl…lol.. but to each its own.
Our readers asked me to include this specific question so here I go:
Is the texture of a woman’s hair important to you? And length? Wow.. Really, I like the low haircut woman just as much as the long-haired woman. And regardless of the texture of their hair, it’s all about their confidence.
Do you think black hair is an issue? Why or why not?
I truly can say that black hair is a MAJOR issue in the Black Community. It has been seen time and time again (Michelle Obama, Gabby Douglass, SCHOOL DAZE, etc.) In more recent times, it seems more people are going against each other because of how and INDIVIDUAL wants to wear their hair besides looking at what they are accomplishing. They praise you when you wear your hair like them but talk about you when your hair is another way because they think you are conforming to someone else’s standards. So what if they got inspired by fashion, parents, or their environment. People should be free to wear their hair proudly any way they want and not be ridiculed about it. Be happy with yourself whatever way you see fit.
LAST WORDS
I think that all women are beautiful and I like the fact that they can be, even with all different kinds of hair. Nothing’s worst than choices with no variety. Thanks Going-natural.com and family.
