To begin I would like to thank the sponsors of this challenge for providing us with awesome tshirts and earrings that promote natural hair and beauty. Naptural Roots Magazine positively reinforces the concept of loving oneself and natural hair. This magazine also strives to educate real people on real issues, which is something that I appreciate.
During the challenges I always find that I take a life lesson away with me to keep in my heart‘s treasure chest. This week’s challenge involved a lot of pressure for me. Not necessarily because of the requirements, but because of the external pressures and distractions of life and sick family members during the competition. This week involved a constant state of running from place to place .
Enjoy this beautiful day and I hope your doing the same!

For this challenge I’ve opted for an old fashioned approach; cloth rollers. An elder woman gave me the idea when she talked about how back during the Great Depression when money was scarce women used all kinds of different house hold objects for their beauty needs. I used just a few strips of fabric from an old t-shirt. I find this option to be very cost effective as well as enviormentally repsonsible.
Go away to Morocco. Sula NYC, where beautiful skin begins.
Let the good times roll! It’s Mardi Gras season and I’ve got to look fresh! That’s why I’m so glad about this challenge… I got to test out Karen’s Body Beautiful Conditioning Shampoo… and model it around down town New Orleans!
