Cutie Demure with almost 2.000 members is one of the largest in New York. After we met a few times, I decided to sponsor a meeting and check it out.

Cutie Demure with almost 2.000 members is one of the largest in New York. After we met a few times, I decided to sponsor a meeting and check it out.

The gathering was at organized at the top floor of Vapiano, an Italian restaurant at University Pl not to far from Union Square in New York. Welcomed by Sienne and Courtney everyone was asked their name, offered a name tag as well as a ravel ticket to win sponsored items.

It was great to see familiar faces from nappturality.com but also to meet a whole bunch of new people. Most of the attendees ordred food then started mingling and talking. Yes, sure it was about natural hair. Not only were the styles lovely, the main topic was natural hair care and styling. The talks were about the products they used, their routines, tips and tricks were exchanged, while enjoying some nice Vapio dish. Besided that there was product swapped. Women just brought products that didn’t work for them to exchange them and try another product.

To give you an idea, I recorded the gathering and interviewed Courtney, the organizer so you can see for yourself what a meeting is like. I am thinkful that some of the attendees were also willing to share their hair story for the Going Natural Video Diaries.
