More than 20 Black owned companies joined forces with going- natural.com for an unprecedented Black History Giveaway. From hair care products to fashionable clever t-shirts, from magazines to cup cakes, these companies are serious about expanding their clientele by standing out in the growing billion dollar online industry.
The ultimate goal is to build a Social Cyber Mall says Drs. Mireille Liong who initiated the project.
According to the University of Georgia’s Selig Center for Economic Growth, money circulates zero to one time within the black community, compared to the more than six times in the Latino community, the nine times in the Asian community and an unlimited amount of times within the white community.
Since Black people don’t have labels like “halal” or other means to make sure the dollar circulates in the community, we need to find out of the box ways to connect with and build our community.
A Social Cyber Mall is a great way to make it happen, continued Liong.
As the founder of going-natural.com, a social web-shop and networking site with over 80,000 members, followers and fans, Liong has more than a decade of experience building online communities and the IT- Graduate of the University of Amsterdam is bound to make it happen.
The colorful gifts of this first annual Black History Giveaway gives you an idea of just how versatile yet connected the Social Cyber Mall will be. It’s only the first of many giveaways and other social cyber actions that will follow.
For a complete list of companies that joined the giveaway, to see the gifts or to take part one can visit the giveaway section of going-natural.com.
