I wrap my hair often not only when I feel like my hair does not look good, but more as a fashion statement. I have found that winter scarves are the best for head wrapping as they are more stretchy. You can always find fabric at fabric stores but you need something stretchy and definitely do sew the ends. I also add a flower or feather just for that extra touch.
