by Vee Jefferson. I’ve always liked the idea of going natural, but never had the guts to go for it. My aunt, who has been wearing locs for some time now, had been encouraging me to grow out my natural hair so she could loc it. I always told her I’d think about it, but never did. Not really.
I cannot believe this is the end! As sad as I am to see this chapter of my life close I’m glad I had this opportunity as I have learned a great deal about myself through this journey.
Being natural has made me a healthier person, once I became more conscious of what I did to my hair and the products I used, I also became conscious about other aspects of my life. Being natural has taught me patience, diligence, and humility.

The end is here, or is this the beginning? Thank you Dee for creating Nappturality, a home that has helped so many people, including myself. Because of you and others like you, I am brought by my love to a platform for change. I love my people and because of the strength we have within, that transcends generations, it’s not enough to like what we see, I want us to love and flaunt our true selves with the glory that was bestowed upon us.
