I’ve held back from styling my Sisterlocks for two reasons.
1. Baby locs should not be manipulated too frequently. They need time to be allowed to fully loc without being stretched, pulled, tucked and curled. Constant manipulation keeps locs from doing their natural thing.
Â
2. My Sisterlocks aren’t very long. I’ve noticed there are a plethora of styling options for long locs, but not as many for short ones, like mine. I haven’t felt particularly motivated to do much with my Sisterlocks.
My current 10-month-old Sisterlocks are ready for some natural hair styles. They are settling in nicely and are much longer than they were when I first got them installed.
Short locs hair style
I was motivated to try out an updo hair style, a type of style I’ve only done about three times in the past 10 months. I think it’s wonderful for short locs and could even be done on loose natural hair.
