I started going natural, just about 7 months ago. I was tired of all the chemicals and over processed hair. I had started to have thinning hair and I was at a lost at, what to do. I made the choice to cut all dead ends and most of the relaxer out of my hair. I cut a little off each month until it was gone.

What was the worst part of your journey? And the best part?

The hardest part is being so patient. We all want really fast results, but I had to learn that great things take time and a lot of effort. it's an exciting journey. The best part of this journey is, bonding with my hair and actually taking care of it. Being educated about my hair is the best feeling.

What did your hair journey teach you?

My hair journey taught me to be brave and to have self confidence.

Describe your worst hairdo and your best hairdo.
My worst hairdo was when I was just learning and in transition. I knew little to nothing about natural hair. My hair was crunchy and dry and when I combed it-it sounded like someone biting into an apple. It was awful... :) I educated myself and learned how to deep condition and moisturize. My best hairdo would be a half updo with the front out.

Looking Back, has your perception of your hair or black hair in general changed? Please elaborate.
My perception of my hair and black hair has absolutely changed and for the better. I was so un-educated about our gorgeous hair. I just thought I had always had bad hair...Turns out I had a bad mis-education, which was none!

What is your favorite hairstyle?
My favorite hair-style is a partial updo.
