Mireille Liong
Liong who grew up in Suriname, South America and studied in the Netherlands changed the city of Amsterdam for the city of Brooklyn New York in 2002.

Bad experiences with hair straightening chemicals motivated her to use her Master Degree in Computer Science to gather and structure information about African Hair. She then successfully debuted with the first Dutch book about African hair care in 2003. The first edition was sold out within two months. Today the website http://kroeshaar.com which she launched together with the book is the most popular site on this topic in Holland.

In 2004 Mireille self-published Going Natural, how to fall in Love with Nappy hair and launched http://going-natural.com. When she realized natural women didn't have a magazine of their own, she decided to turn the website into this Interactive I-magazine.
